Working as a Southeast broker, in Greg’s own words
Q: Can you tell us a bit about your career and educational/professional background?
I’m a graduate of the University of Central Florida (UCF) with a major in Marketing. Out of college, I really didn’t know what I wanted to do with my career. I found myself taking an entry-level Retail Analyst position with a large food brokerage firm based out of Jacksonville, Florida, and fell in love with the industry.
Q: What is your favorite part of your job?
Interviewing new brands to work with. I really enjoy seeing the different products out there and learning what inspired them to start their brand. You hear a lot of great stories and backgrounds.
Q: What’s your favorite thing about working in the food industry?
Trade shows. It’s fun to attend the different shows throughout the year and see my clients, friends and former colleagues face-to-face.
